How it works

A conversation, shaped by you.

Penny isn't a quiz, an exercise program, or a script. She's a companion who reads the moment, meets you where you are, and adjusts to the way you want to be talked to.

She reads the moment.

Some days you need someone to sit with the weight of it. Other days you want a reframe, a coping tool, a single honest question. Penny notices what kind of conversation you're in and shifts accordingly — drawing on CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, somatic, and other modalities depending on what fits.

No template. No daily streak. You can come back at 2pm or 2am, mid-spiral or mid-coffee, and start wherever you actually are.

Tune how she shows up.

You can pick the therapeutic lens Penny leads with — including specific modalities like CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, existential, or even regular old coaching.

Then shape her voice with seven dials: warmth, directness, concreteness, brevity, challenge, curiosity, and humor. Want quieter and more reflective? Set it. Want sharper and more action-leaning? Set that instead. Penny will use those settings on her next reply and you can change them any time.

Start with whatever's loudest.

Most people open with something small: “I'm feeling anxious about tomorrow,” “I keep avoiding this conversation,” “I don't know why I feel this way.”

Penny asks clarifying questions, reflects on what she's hearing, and offers something useful — a coping tool, a reframe, a small experiment to try. You decide what to take and what to leave. The conversation is yours.

You never start from scratch.

Most chatbots forget you the moment you close the tab. Penny doesn't. She carries what you've told her — the people in your life, what you're working through, how a week actually went — and brings it back when it's relevant, so you're not re-explaining yourself every time.

And you can see what she's holding any time. “Your story so far” lays out the threads she's picked up across your conversations — in your words, not a clinical file.

The shift is quiet.

You won't feel reborn. You'll notice you're catching yourself sooner. Naming things faster. Finding a sentence for something that used to sit unnamed for days. Because Penny remembers the patterns you're working through, each conversation starts a step ahead of the last. The change is slow — and that's the point.

Begin your conversation.

Small conversations. Meaningful change.
